Ron Wallace focuses on the urgency for spiritual growth. While a lot has been written and taught about being prepared for the coming persecutions upon the Church, many Christians simply do not have the knowledge and faith to handle the normal everyday pressures that are encountered every day.
It is crucial for each believer to be especially honest with themselves. If you cannot handle the everyday pressures of work, home and society in general, without “fuming” within your soul and/or outwardly towards others, you will surely be unable to handle the extreme persecution that may very well come in the near future.
As the Apostle Peter writes in 2 Peter 3:17-18 (ESV), “You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unscrupulous people and fall from your own stability, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
